Have ever heard about this word?
According to Wikipedia, "journalism is the profession of writing or communicating, formally employed by publications and broadcasters, for the benefit of a particular community of people. The writer or journalist is expected to use facts to describe events, ideas, or issues that are relevant to the public." What these people (journalist) do is to report to the public reader something (event) that they were looking at before or another thing (interview) that they did for the purpose of letting the public know what was happened. I would say they are doing an incredible job because they are the 'middle-men' in terms of information, news, etc and without them, people would not know what is happening on the world. Something that people should appreciate. What I found more noble from these people is that sometimes, due to the need of people, the journalist go into such a difficult place where even their life is part of the risk; place such as war zone, natural disaster or place who are in danger of famine. You may never imagine, but it is true, it is something that is done from the past, it is their job. However, sometimes when I read/listen/see at this kind of news, there is something that bothers me. Despite of reporting the event, let's say a natural disaster, why does this people not helping the victims? Wouldn't they help the people who are suffering at that moment? Yes they would, and even they may have those kind of feeling as they are still human who have clear mind (human as the beautiful creation of God is the only creature who has a complete and perfect body, mind, soul and always has a free will to choose between the right or wrong); however as much as they concern, they still have a job which is to report the event and not to help the people. It is tough, I know, however, it is something that happen in the real life. If the journalist would follow what their heart are saying and help the people, they will not have any chance to report the events, resulting in no news for the people, and as a consequences for that they will lose their job because they are not doing their job. Such a painful thing yet they have do be straight, focus, cold-hearted and keep doing their job. Because of that, I have my salute for them. However, there are few 'cheap' journalist who are not doing their proper job. Inspite of reporting the truth, these people are making stories, telling propaganda and try to persuade the public with their own thought. Such ashamed for the journalist who is working really hard for the truth. I am totally amazed with this job and I feel that this thing is something that people should appreciate more.
